Sorry for the late reply, but Violet and I have been working on – stop since our return from India if February. We have been to many places, but India was by far the most exotic and wonderful country we have ever seen. The people, sights, food, cultures were amazing! There was nothing that we could mention to improve the experience. It really was extraordinary. We wish we could have stayed longer. In fact, if we had known about the extension to southern India, we would have booked that too. Your staff was exceptional. Everyone was very professional and extremely helpful at all times. We have already recommended your company to several of our friends, and we hope to go back to India with you as soon as we can. Violet and I are already thinking about getting away again. We are booked to go to the Oceania cruise event on Sunday, April 24th We are extremely happy with the level of service and the quality the Explore India has provided. If you ever need a reference please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for everything,
Doug Smith and Violet Allard

I was just editing our Indian photos and thought I should write you a few words of thanks for a great trip. I can't start to imagine the amount of time and effort that went into organizing and creating such a successful and wonderful experience, and I know you played a major part in that. Your negotiations with the Indian government, prior to our trip, to simplify the visa process and your many flights ahead of us, during the trip , to make sure things flowed smoothly were recognized and much appreciated. The India trip was the longest and most expensive trip we have taken and we knew it would be special. Everything, from the accommodations, food and experiences exceeded our expectations. Many of us commented during the trip "it just keeps getting better". This was not just intended to be a sightseeing trip but a trip to experience India, and we experienced things that most people visiting India would never experience. The three days in Kashmir was a lovely way to end the trip. It is a beautiful part of the country and quite different from the rest of India. In spite of it's proximity to Pakistan, heavy security and strong military presence, people seemed happy, relaxed, peaceful and very friendly. We felt very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Thanks again Nazir for helping make this a trip of a lifetime. Looking forward to seeing you again on future trips.

Hi Nazir, the "Explore India" trip was wonderful! I can honestly say it exceeded my expectations .Our guide, Yajur, was terrific...,easy to understand, .informative, organized, thoughtful and kind.He had such patience in answering our questions ,even when they might have seemed foolish or repetitive . I felt I really learned about the people, the history, the culture and the politics....In a country that large and diverse we can only scratch he surface, but I certainly have more understanding and appreciation. The hotels were first rate and the service fantastic. The care that I received in dealing with my food allergies and when I banged my head in the bus ( my own fault!) was more than I could have expected. Your staff in India are to be commended for their complete attention to detail....everything from the supplying of water on the buses, the use of hand sanitizer as we got back on after an excursion, to the speed and efficiency in getting us checked in at the hotels was managed extremely well. The bus and our driver were superb! The extra trip that was arranged to the village to see the school and hospital was something special. The main attractions of course, the Taj Mahal, the Ganges both at sunset and sunrise, the caves, were truly magical and will stay at he top of my memory list....so many terrific memories, I could go on and on!..the dancers, the elephant ride at dusk, Mother Theresa's Mission, the cooking demonstration, Old Delhi, bicycle rickshaws...etc etc!....and of course the artistry evident in all parts of Indian life. I bought a magnificent vase of white marble, inlaid with mother of pearl, that I will always treasure. You ask for suggestions...my only one would be the occasional simpler meal....our North American digestive systems are not used to all the spices,as delicious as they are, it takes us longer than 2 weeks to get used to them! The food was beautifully prepared and presented and the restaurants treated us all very well....we just have a harder time adjusting to the spices for every meal. Because of my citrus allergy, they often made me something different and I did appreciate so much the extra care...those meals were lovely...often less spicy, and that's when I would hear some comments from a few of the others, that they would have liked the simpler food occasionally too. Not everyone of course...many loved every meal! I am in Palm Springs at present, enjoying beautiful sunny California weather and relaxing down here till April. I have told everyone what a remarkable trip it was and I'm sure you will get some calls in the future. I could recommend the trip to anyone! Thank you for an experience of a lifetime!

I can only say Helen and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in India. It was very insightful and not a little unsettling and moving at times. This is as it should be. I had a little list of things I wanted to be able to do with the free time we had, as you know, and I accomplished all of them. The support ‘on the ground’ was good and Yajur was a very good guide. He’s very personable, organized and well informed. Please give him my best regards and convey to him my sincere appreciation for being our Tour Manager. He’s a keeper in my opinion. He provided a lot of very good context and insight into the country and its people as well as its strengths and challenges. His ‘lectures’ on the bus as we traveled I personally found very helpful. They got me thinking, asking questions and engaging him in conversation, when possible, to expand my knowledge (as for me this, along with time on the street, is an important part of travel). He has a lot of useful knowledge of the sites we visited also. That and the local and national newspapers available at the hotels were very helpful in that regard. I read them daily. It was a good way to see the part of India we were able to see, especially given my language limitations and lack of extensive prior knowledge of Indian culture. I had done preparatory reading prior to arriving in India. I came away with a better knowledge base and perspective on a very diverse country of 1.2B people. Enjoyed the accommodation, the food and the services provided also. Increased my tolerance for hot spices (in moderation) and Kingfisher beer too. I really can’t offer anything else beyond what I’ve already said. It was a ‘slice of life’ and I personally was very glad I went. Helen likewise.

Hello Nazir, The Journey of the Senses was truly an amazing trip and there are many things to reflect on. It is difficult to process it all at once. The pictures and the memories certainly help. I am working at putting together a travel journal so I don't forget it all! There, of course, were many highlights, but three key highlights for us were the community kitchen at the Gurduwara Bangla Sahib [we would have loved more time there], the visits to the ghats in Varanasi and the tour of the slum in Mumbai. I'm so glad that we switched to the February tour from a private tour in December, and that we chose a tour that you were leading. You and your team thought of everything, and took care of every small detail, including a proper toilet in the middle of the desert!. Not having to deal with our luggage, checking in at the airports, or lining up for hotel keys was a real treat. The guides, especially Yajur, were great, and we felt very safe and protected with Ravi and Shenkar. The special events - welcome dinner, elephant and camel safaris, lunch at Taj Khema and the dinner with Joti in Udaipur were amazing, each surprise exceeding the other. And a special thank you for arranging my trip to the dentist in Jodhpur. These kinds of unexpected medical issues can be stressful, but you calmly took care of every detail. Again, Nazir, thank you for a great time-enjoyable, educational and delicious! We may be up for another adventure in 2017 - let us know!

I know you must be very busy but I just wanted to pass on my thanks to you for the wonderful vacation that Kay and I had recently to India. Our guides, Sharma, and Hilal were over the top with their help and the information they provided to us. Kay and I have been on many tours with various agencies over the past but I can honestly say that this is one of the best that we have ever been on. India is a fascinating country and even though we just saw a little we are still left in awe. I just wanted to pass this on to you because many times no one ever lets you know how much your tour was appreciated. We will be back. Thank you, and all of your associates for giving us such great memories. Kay and Morris Golden

At last I sending you some feedback re our trip. As I said on the phone we were very pleased with experience. We were very impressed with our 2 drivers, Balvinder and Kool, as well as the 3 men at the houseboats. all were very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. My personal feeling is that 1 day long drive in kashmir was enough as the roads do not make for a relaxing experience, however we really enjoyed the day trip to Sonamarg. The vegetable market was wonderful. The guide we had in Varanasi was good with the information he gave us, however, The stop at the Bird Sanctuary was really nice and I wish we had been able to have more time there - I know it was an added stop at our request but I think it was very worthwhile to include it in the tour. All the hotels were very good, the Jaipur Marriott was outstanding. Would certainly recommend your company to others.

Hi Nazir We have JUST arrived home after a great trip. We all agreed that Explore India was very impressive. We were met promptly at each airport arrival and delivered and assisted for each departure. We had wonderful guides. Hari, who was our guide for the golden Triangle and Varanasi is outstanding. He is spontaneous, adventuresome and extremely knowledgeable. He has an amazing amount of energy! We enjoyed several events that were not a part of the tour: stopped at an encampment of nomadic people; stopped when we saw a wedding procession; visited two schools; visited a village where the residents welcomed us; had a lot of fun riding in a jugaad (home-made vehicle that seems common in some rural areas). He was also with us in Varanasi and among other things while we were in the city, he took us to the railway station to see life there. Kerala was also very good in terms of accommodation, sightseeing, and excellent guides. Our driver, Asar, was excellent. He has limited English, but he had enough that he pointed out many interesting sights along the way. Generally, all of the guides were excellent. We loved Kerala and the rest at Turtle on the Beach Resort was a perfect ending to the trip. Thank you so much for great organization! Best wishes

No company is big or small when you have 100% capability of exceeding guest expectations. A rating of 10 out of 10 does not adequately reflect the level of the experience and value of the tour that we provide to India especially for the first time visitors. Explore India’s success can be traced all the way back to those early days of learning what it means to be a host and to this day, our motto is to treat the guest like a member of the family. A sure testimonial to the business, given the fact that many Canadians have travelled not one, not twice, but three times with Explore India, the early teachings seem to have paid off, as touring to India with us is a sought-after experience in Canada and beyond.
